After success on PC, Palworld will come to mobile gamers

After just a few days of launch, Palworld – an exciting adventure game from developer Pocketpair quickly broke records and created a new craze globally.

The game was first released on January 19, 2024 and quickly sold 5 million copies on Steam, while also creating a record for a paid game with the highest number of concurrent players with nearly 1.6 million people online at the same time. But fans of the game are more excited than ever when Pocketpair just revealed their intention to bring Palworld to the mobile platform and they are recruiting development engineers.

Although the company has not announced the number of vacancies, according to the job description, engineers will work in the Tokyo office and they are also required to have experience in using the Unity platform to build games. This is a strange thing because the game was originally developed on Unreal Engine, not Unity. However, Pocketpair is also committed to creating a high-quality game experience, from action, animation to the expressions of the characters in the game.

It can be seen that with the current appeal and attraction of Palworld, it is absolutely right for the developers to aim to expand the influence of the game on many platforms. However, they should also focus more on improving the unfinished aspects of the game, most notably the Pal’s AI which is still quite bad. Currently, gamers can only purchase and experience Palworld through PC stores.
